Pharmacist | Seguin, Texas

A hospital pharmacy opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to support patient care through expert medication management, sterile compounding, and pharmacokinetic monitoring. This 13-week contract position offers a dynamic work environment with rotating shifts to meet operational needs.

Location:

• Seguin, TX

Schedule/Hours:

• Rotating shifts: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications and ensure the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals.
• Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems to manage medication orders and inventory.
• Prepare sterile compounds and perform intravenous admixtures according to established protocols.
• Monitor and adjust pharmacokinetics to optimize patient therapy.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Current Texas pharmacist license.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• IV certification and competency in sterile compounding.
• Proficiency in EPIC and Pyxis pharmacy systems.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be submitted with application).
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
