A well-established 200-bed community hospital is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to support their pharmacy team. This contract opportunity is perfect for both experienced professionals and new graduates ready to launch their careers in a dynamic hospital setting. Located in Sellersburg, Indiana, just across the Ohio River from Louisville, Kentucky, this role offers a convenient location for candidates holding an Indiana pharmacist license, including those currently residing in the Louisville area.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately dispense medication orders in compliance with hospital protocols.
  • Review prescriptions for appropriateness, contraindications, and interactions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapy.
  • Provide drug information and counseling to patients and staff.
  • Maintain pharmacy inventory and ensure proper medication storage.
  • Support medication safety initiatives and quality assurance processes.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Licensed Pharmacist with an active Indiana license (or eligible for licensure).
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply; recent pharmacy school graduates welcome.
  • Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and clinical drug therapies.
