Support the implementation of a major EMR conversion from Cerner to EPIC by providing essential pharmacy staffing during this critical transition period. We are seeking two experienced pharmacists to work evening shifts and ensure smooth pharmacy operations while the permanent staff focus on troubleshooting and software adoption.
Location: Shafter, CA
Job Type: Contract (8 weeks)
Schedule:
- Evenings, 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
- Ability to work 48 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical pharmacy support during the EPIC conversion project
- Maintain medication safety and accuracy in dispensing during the transition
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to troubleshoot pharmacy-related issues
- Ensure seamless pharmacy operations while supporting temporary staffing needs
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active CA Pharmacist license required
- BLS certification required
- Proven experience working with both Cerner and EPIC EMR systems within the last 5 years
- Previous employment or successful contract work in organizations utilizing Cerner and EPIC
- Ability to work extended hours and flexible shifts during the contract period
Orientation sessions are available on August 3rd or August 17th.
