Long Term Care Pharmacist in Shakopee, MN

A pharmacist opportunity is available in a long-term care setting located near Eden Prairie, MN. This contract-to-hire position offers day and afternoon shifts with a local schedule, starting as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

• Review prescriptions from physicians and authorized prescribers for accuracy.
• Determine appropriate formulas and ingredients to prepare medications.
• Compound sterile and non-sterile medications following standard formulas and processes such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients.
• Supervise pharmacy staff involved in mixing, packaging, and labeling medications.
• Dispense medications accurately and provide counseling to nursing facility staff on prescription and over-the-counter medications.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist with experience in long-term care pharmacy.
