A leading 359-bed Level 1 Trauma Center and Level 4 NICU teaching hospital is seeking an experienced Inpatient Night Pharmacist to support its fast-paced, team-oriented pharmacy department. This contract or direct hire opportunity is based in a state-of-the-art medical facility that ranks among the top 10 largest pediatric providers in the country and is the only pediatric medical center in Arkansas.
The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of two years of inpatient pharmacy experience and hold IV certification or possess significant IV preparation expertise. This role requires a commitment to quality care within a progressive, passionate healthcare team and demands the ability to work independently overnight without call duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely prepare and dispense medications, including intravenous therapies, in an inpatient setting
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal medication therapy
- Participate in the hospital’s medication safety and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate medication records and comply with regulatory requirements
- Support comprehensive patient care in a Level 1 Trauma and teaching hospital environment
Qualifications:
- Licensed Pharmacist (RPH) with active, unrestricted license
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience
- IV certification or equivalent experience mandatory
- Ability to pass a nicotine-free drug test
- Comfortable working night shifts in a high-acuity hospital setting
Schedule Options:
- Night Shift: Thursday–Saturday, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM and Sunday–Wednesday, 8:00 PM–7:00 AM (7 on/7 off rotation beginning Thursday night)
- Weekend Option: Friday–Sunday, 11:00 AM–11:30 PM
