Pharmacist - Slaton, TX

This opportunity is tailored for a licensed pharmacist with a passion for pediatric care, prepared to support a children's hospital's pharmacy operations during night shifts. The role is a 6-month contract beginning immediately, with a unique schedule designed for work-life balance and a forthcoming transition to a day shift.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and dispense medications accurately and safely in an inpatient pediatric setting.
• Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication order processing and inventory management.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare teams to ensure optimal pharmacy support and patient care.
• Adhere strictly to hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Support medication preparation and verification during the assigned night shifts.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Texas pharmacist license is required.
• Proven experience in an inpatient pharmacy environment, preferably within pediatrics.
• Proficient with EPIC electronic medical records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.

Schedule:

• Night shift: 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM.
• Work seven days on followed by seven days off.
• Anticipated transition to a day shift in July/August to cover an extended leave through January 2027.
