A pharmacy opportunity is available for a pharmacist with a strong background in high-volume dispensing operations. This role suits candidates who have at least 2-3 years of experience handling a busy workload and who are open to a temporary assignment, with potential for contract-to-hire.

Location:

• Smyrna, GA

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM shift
• 40 hours per week
• Immediate start

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) duties, which include final verification of prescriptions
• Verify accuracy of medication in bottles or boxes
• Ensure prescription directions and information match the hard copy order accurately
• Operate within a mail order, renal specialty pharmacy environment processing approximately 1000 prescriptions daily
• Utilize the Wellsky pharmacy order entry system; note that no automation is involved
• No on-call duties required

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a high-volume pharmacy setting
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and professionalism in patient care and teamwork
• Comfortable with a temporary assignment and flexible regarding potential contract extensions or contract-to-hire transitions
