Pharmacist - Smyrna, Georgia

A high-volume mail order renal specialty pharmacy is seeking a licensed pharmacist with 2-3 years of pharmacy experience to support medication verification and dispensing operations. The pharmacy fills approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily, utilizing Wellsky as the order entry system without automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) duties.
• Conduct final verification of filled prescriptions, ensuring accuracy of medication, directions, and prescription details against hard copies.
• Collaborate within a fast-paced environment to maintain medication safety and compliance.
• Maintain a positive attitude and professionalism throughout all interactions.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active pharmacist license in good standing.
• 2-3 years of experience working in a high-volume retail, specialty, or mail order pharmacy setting.
• Comfort working with manual verification processes and order entry systems (specifically Wellsky preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, positive work ethic.

Location:

• Smyrna, GA.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM.
• 40 hours per week.

Additional Details:

• Contract role, approximately 13 weeks, with potential contract-to-hire option.
• No on-call responsibilities.
• Immediate start available.
