Pharmacist in Smyrna, GA

A pharmacy role is available for an experienced pharmacist with a background in high-volume settings. This position supports a mail order, renal specialty pharmacy managing approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily, requiring accuracy and attention to detail in prescription verification.

Location: Smyrna, GA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week
Contract Duration: 13+ weeks, with potential for contract-to-hire
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2) duties
• Ensure accuracy in final verification processes, including medication verification and prescription details
• Confirm correct medication, directions, and prescription information against hard copies
• Use Wellsky pharmacy order entry system (no automation involved)
• Work independently during shift with no on-call requirements
