Per Diem Pharmacist in Soddy Daisy, TN

A well-established independent compounding pharmacy is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist to provide vacation coverage primarily from May 27-29, with ongoing PRN opportunities in the Chattanooga area. This role offers the chance to work in a highly specialized environment processing approximately 1,000 compounds daily.

Location:
Soddy Daisy, TN (with services in Chattanooga area)

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
• Lunch: 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
• Closed on weekends
• Per Diem position with occasional ongoing shifts

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and guide a team of five pharmacy technicians responsible for data entry, medication fills, and handling phone inquiries
• Answer clinical and operational questions as they arise during shifts
• Supervise the mail order eye drop department, managing the shipment of three variations of post-cataract surgery eye drops
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in all compounding and dispensing activities

Qualifications:

• Active and good-standing Tennessee Pharmacist License
• Minimum 1-2 years of pharmacist experience, preferably in a mail order or compounding setting
• Strong leadership skills to supervise pharmacy technician workflow and maintain quality control

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented pharmacist looking to support a fast-paced compounding pharmacy in a flexible, per diem capacity. Experience with mail order pharmacy operations is a plus but not required.
