Pharmacist in South Bend, IN

A well-established 250-bed community hospital in Northern Indiana is seeking a skilled pharmacist for a rewarding 13-week assignment with the possibility to extend. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative inpatient environment while supporting patient care in a vital regional health setting.

Location:

• Mishawaka, IN

Schedule/Hours:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Second shift: 1:00 pm to 10:30 pm
• Possible 7 days on, 7 days off schedule may be available

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians ensuring compliance and quality
• Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding medication therapy and best practices
• Perform pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring to optimize patient outcomes
• Support safe, effective inpatient pharmacy operations

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Valid pharmacist license in the state of Indiana or eligibility to obtain one
• Prior inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong clinical knowledge and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary medical team
