A well-established 250-bed community hospital in Northern Indiana is seeking a skilled Pharmacist for a rewarding 13-week contract, with the possibility to extend. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital setting in Mishawaka, IN, providing essential pharmaceutical care to inpatients.

Schedule:

  • 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
  • 2nd shift hours: 1:00 pm to 10:30 pm
  • Potential option for a 7-on/7-off schedule, based on operational needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care
  • Conduct pharmacokinetic evaluations to guide dosing decisions
  • Manage inpatient pharmacy operations to maintain compliance and safety standards

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Active Pharmacist license, eligible for practice in Indiana
  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred, especially in inpatient settings
  • Strong communication skills for effective interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Ability to work independently and make clinical decisions
  • Familiarity with pharmacy software and electronic medical records
