Pharmacist in South Bend, IN

A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to support a 250-bed community hospital near Mishawaka, IN. This role offers a dynamic inpatient setting within a Northern Indiana hospital, with potential to extend beyond the initial assignment.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• 2nd shift: 1:00 PM to 10:30 PM
• Option may be available for a 7 on/7 off rotation

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow
• Collaborate and consult with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient care
• Perform pharmacokinetic calculations and monitoring
• Contribute to medication management and safety in the inpatient setting

Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with experience in hospital inpatient pharmacy operations
• Strong knowledge of medication order verification processes
• Effective communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
• Experience with supervising pharmacy technicians and conducting pharmacokinetics
