Join a specialized ambulatory infusion therapy clinic focused on providing IV and infusion services to patients with acute and chronic needs. This PRN Staff Pharmacist role offers an opportunity to apply your clinical expertise in a dynamic home infusion environment located in Portland, ME.

Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating and processing physician orders while verifying insurance benefits
  • Performing sterile compounding and supporting cleanroom operations in compliance with USP 797 standards
  • Safely dispensing medications and infusion-related supplies
  • Maintaining accurate patient and pharmacy records consistent with federal and state regulations
  • Collaborating closely with patients, physicians, nurses, and the healthcare team to ensure excellent care coordination
  • Supervising pharmacy technicians and support staff to uphold high-quality service
  • Managing assigned patient caseloads, with flexibility to cover for other pharmacists as needed

Schedule:

  • Approximately 2 days per month with flexible scheduling options
  • Additional ongoing PRN coverage available based on need

Qualifications:

  • Active Pharmacist License in Maine, in good standing
  • Minimum of 1 year pharmacy experience; 2+ years clinical pharmacy experience preferred
  • Hands-on experience with infusion therapy and sterile compounding is required
  • Familiarity with USP 797 sterile compounding standards essential
  • Strong skills in communication, multitasking, time management, and critical thinking
