A PRN Staff Pharmacist position is available at an ambulatory infusion therapy clinic specializing in IV and infusion services for patients with both acute and chronic medical conditions. This role offers the opportunity to provide clinical pharmacy support on a recurring basis, working within a collaborative healthcare environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.

Location: Portland, ME
Job Type: Per Diem (PRN)
Schedule:
• Approximately 2 days per month with flexible scheduling
• Additional PRN coverage as needed

Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and process physician orders, verifying insurance benefits to ensure proper medication coverage
• Perform sterile compounding adhering to USP 797 standards and support cleanroom operations
• Ensure safe dispensing of medications and infusion-related supplies to patients
• Maintain accurate and compliant patient and pharmacy records in line with federal and state regulations
• Effectively communicate with patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members for coordinated care
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to maintain efficient pharmacy operations
• Manage patient caseloads and provide coverage for other pharmacists as necessary

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
• Active Maine Pharmacist License in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year pharmacy experience required; 2+ years clinical pharmacy experience preferred
• Experience in infusion therapy and sterile compounding is essential
• Comprehensive knowledge of USP 797 sterile compounding standards
• Strong communication abilities, multitasking, time management, and critical thinking skills
