Per Diem Pharmacist - South San Francisco, California

A healthcare facility is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist to provide semi-regular coverage at their health clinic location in South San Francisco, CA. This role involves performing typical retail pharmacy duties, including supervising pharmacy technicians, in a clinic setting that serves a vulnerable and diverse patient population.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations within the health clinic
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Dispense medications accurately and provide patient counseling
• Maintain efficient workflow and adherence to pharmacy protocols
• Utilize the New Leaf pharmacy system to manage prescriptions and documentation
• Demonstrate patience and cultural sensitivity when working with a vulnerable patient population

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Recent retail pharmacy experience is strongly preferred
• Licensure as a pharmacist in California
• Ability to supervise and collaborate effectively with pharmacy technicians
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
• Proficiency or willingness to learn the New Leaf pharmacy system
• Flexibility and adaptability for per diem coverage assignments
