A licensed pharmacist is needed to support overnight pharmaceutical care at a specialized women’s health facility. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to patient well-being across a wide age range—from newborns to adults—by ensuring the safe and accurate management of medications within an inpatient hospital environment.

Location:

  • Spring, TX (Pavilion for Women Site)

Schedule:

  • Overnight shifts, 7 days on/7 days off
  • 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM

Duration:

  • 14 weeks
  • Start Date: March 2

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the medication use process to prevent and resolve drug-related issues.
  • Verify appropriateness of medication doses based on patient diagnosis, weight, allergies, and potential drug interactions.
  • Accurately enter medication orders using EPIC electronic medical records system.
  • Ensure correct dispensing and timely delivery of medications, maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols.
  • Follow aseptic technique and infection control standards during preparation of sterile products; enforce these standards among team members.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and complete required re-certifications.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 2+ years inpatient pharmacy experience, preferably with pediatric exposure.
  • Valid Texas pharmacist license.
  • ACPE IV Certification is mandatory.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR is preferred.
