Pharmacist in Springfield, MO

A healthcare facility in Springfield, MO is seeking two Pharmacists for evening shifts to support their central pharmacy operations. This contract position offers a 13-week assignment with a strong possibility of extension and potential transition to full-time employment.

Shift and Schedule:

• Evenings, 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM
• 7 days on, 7 days off (Thursday through Wednesday)

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate workflow within the central pharmacy to ensure efficient medication preparation and distribution
• Verify accuracy and appropriateness of medication products including IV bags, premade IVs, creams, and insulin pens
• Check and maintain code carts to support emergency readiness
• Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians, reallocating tasks to optimize productivity and patient safety

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Missouri Pharmacist license (new graduates encouraged to apply)
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical record system preferred
• Strong organizational skills and ability to lead a team under a fast-paced environment
