Pharmacist in Springfield, MO

A 13-week contract opportunity is available for two licensed Pharmacists to support evening shifts from 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM on a 7-on/7-off schedule (Thursday through Wednesday). This position offers the potential for extension and may transition to permanent status based on performance and fit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily workflow within the central pharmacy to ensure efficient medication management.
• Verify accuracy and safety of medication products including IV preparations, premade IVs, creams, and insulin pens.
• Perform thorough checks of code carts to maintain readiness for emergency situations.
• Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians, reallocating tasks as necessary to meet dynamic workload demands.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare teams using the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Missouri Pharmacist license (new graduates are encouraged to apply).
