Pharmacist - Springfield, Missouri

A pharmacy opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to manage evening shifts in a busy central pharmacy setting. This 13-week contract position, with strong potential for extension or conversion to permanent, provides the chance to work in a fast-paced environment utilizing EPIC EMR.

Responsibilities include coordinating workflow within the central pharmacy, verifying medication products such as IVs, premade IVs, creams, and insulin pens, and performing code cart checks. The pharmacist will also oversee and guide pharmacy technicians, ensuring efficient task distribution and adherence to protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate central pharmacy workflow and medication verification
• Check various medication products for accuracy and safety
• Oversee and redirect pharmacy technicians as needed
• Perform code cart inspections to maintain readiness

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Missouri Pharmacist license required (new graduates are encouraged to apply)
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Location: Springfield, MO

Shift & Schedule:

• Evenings, 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM
• 7 days on, 7 days off, Thursday through Wednesday rotation
