Hospital Pharmacist - Contract

Job Description

A hospital in the Springfield area is seeking an Evening Shift Pharmacist for a 13-week assignment with strong extension and temp-to-hire potential. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced pharmacists and new graduates looking to build their inpatient pharmacy career on a desirable 7 on / 7 off schedule.

Responsibilities
Coordinate workflow within the central pharmacy
Verify medication products, including IVs, insulin pens, creams, and premixed IV medications
Inspect and maintain emergency code carts
Oversee and direct pharmacy technician workflow as needed

Work Hours
Evening shift: 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM
7 On / 7 Off schedule (Thursday–Wednesday)
13-week contract assignment
Strong potential for extension or temp-to-hire

Experience
Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
New graduates are encouraged to apply
Experience with EPIC is a plus
Strong attention to detail and workflow management

Education
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy

Other Qualifications
Active and valid Missouri Pharmacist License
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to lead technician workflow in a fast-paced environment
Full-time availability for the assignment
