Pharmacist - Stafford, Virginia

An opportunity is available for a Pharmacist specializing in outpatient infusion services at a cancer center in Fredericksburg, VA. This position offers a contract-to-hire arrangement, ideal for candidates seeking to establish their place within an acute care hospital setting focused on cancer care.

Responsibilities include managing and dispensing chemotherapy and other infusion medications safely and accurately, collaborating with oncology care teams, and ensuring adherence to established protocols in an outpatient infusion environment. The pharmacist will work closely with a dedicated team of 2-3 pharmacists and 3 technicians, operating EPIC and Pyxis systems to maintain efficient pharmacy operations.

Work Hours:

• 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Pharmacy operational hours: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
• No on-call or weekend coverage required

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Virginia Pharmacist license
• Experience in hospital pharmacy, infusion services, and chemotherapy administration
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Fredericksburg, VA, at an acute care hospital with 380 staffed beds, average daily census of 350, and 44 infusion chairs
