Pharmacist in Standish, CA

This opportunity offers a unique contract position for experienced pharmacists, primarily focused on night shift coverage in a well-supported environment. The assignment is based in Susanville, CA, offering a 7-on, 7-off night schedule, spanning approximately eight weeks, with a start date no later than July 1.

The facility is a licensed 25-bed location with an average daily census of 10 patients. Pharmacists will utilize the Cerner order entry system, with comprehensive training provided to ensure proficiency and confidence in its use.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and review medication orders to ensure accuracy and patient safety
• Provide detailed patient consultations and professional medication information to all customers
• Maintain working knowledge of pharmacy rules and regulations to ensure compliance
• Receive and manage medication orders from wholesalers effectively
• Perform sterile compounding and medication reconstitution as required
• Manage unit dosing and removal of near-expiration medications from stock
• Conduct audits and billing tasks within the scope of licensure
• Supervise and provide guidance to pharmacy technician staff
