An opportunity is available for a Travel Night Shift Pharmacist at a 120-bed Level III trauma center in Norfolk, NE. This role offers a 13+ week contract with an ASAP start date, ideal for those seeking immersive experience in a fast-paced inpatient hospital setting.

Schedule and Work Environment:

• Night shift: 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 7 days on, 7 days off (Wednesday to Tuesday)
• Support from a pharmacy technician during shifts
• Use of EPIC electronic health record system and Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets

Key Responsibilities:

• Validate medication orders and perform kinetic dosing to optimize patient care
• Check medications prior to distribution ensuring accuracy and safety
• Answer nursing staff medication-related inquiries promptly
• Oversee compounding activities during nighttime hours
• Manage outpatient prescription filling for Emergency Department patients overnight

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Nebraska pharmacist license required
• Minimum of one year inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC is preferred, however, training will be provided
