An immediate opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to work in a hospital setting serving a community of approximately 150 beds. This travel role requires a candidate who can start as soon as possible and commit to a 6 to 8-month assignment in State College, PA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervise pharmacy technicians ensuring quality and compliance
- Consult with physicians and healthcare team to optimize patient medication therapy
- Utilize hospital information systems including Meditech, PharmacyKeeper, and Pyxis for medication management and documentation
Desired Qualifications:
- Active pharmacist license in Pennsylvania
- Minimum of 1 year inpatient pharmacy experience
- Familiarity or experience with Meditech strongly preferred
- Commitment to full-time availability with flexibility in shift scheduling, including variable days and afternoons
