Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain smooth operations.
  • Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize medication therapy.
  • Consult and collaborate with physicians and nurses to ensure safe and effective patient care.
  • Utilize electronic health record systems, specifically EPIC, to manage patient data and medication profiles.
  • Manage automated dispensing systems such as Pyxis.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current New York State pharmacist license.
  • Previous hospital pharmacy experience is strongly preferred.
  • Night shift availability is required.
  • Experience with EPIC electronic health records is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
