A pharmacist is needed for a contract assignment at a 200-bed community hospital located in Southwest Virginia. This role offers the opportunity to work in a hospital setting, supporting a multidisciplinary care team and ensuring safe and effective medication use.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and compliance
• Consult with physicians and nurses regarding medication therapy and patient care
• Utilize hospital systems including EPIC and Pyxis to manage pharmacy operations

Qualifications:

• Active Virginia pharmacist license
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team
• Proficiency with electronic medical record systems such as EPIC
