Per Diem Pharmacist in Stratford, TX

A rural community health center seeks a Per Diem pharmacist for a short-term assignment from July 15th to July 31st. This opportunity focuses on providing pharmacy care to a predominantly senior population in a close-knit setting.

Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Friday: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• No weekend shifts

This role involves working in a small pharmacy with a daily volume of approximately 120-130 prescriptions, supported by two experienced pharmacy technicians. The pharmacy operates using the Liberty system, and the environment allows for meaningful patient interactions and community impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions for accuracy and safety
• Offer clear, compassionate patient counseling
• Oversee and manage pharmacy technician workflow

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Texas pharmacist license
• Experience in community health or retail pharmacy is highly preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage and support patients primarily over 50 years old
