Pharmacist | Sturgis, South Dakota

A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist at a small 25-bed surgical hospital located near Rapid City, SD. The position requires working 8-hour day shifts with a start date as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to provide medication consultation
• Manage pharmacokinetics evaluations and related clinical duties
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems

Qualifications:

• Valid South Dakota pharmacist license required
• Experience in an inpatient hospital setting is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of medication management and patient safety protocols
• Ability to work independently while supporting the broader clinical team
