Pharmacist | Sulphur, Louisiana

A contract pharmacist opportunity is available at a specialty pharmacy serving an average of 600 prescriptions per month. This role focuses on supporting an established pharmacy team during a maternity leave coverage period from early May through mid-August.

Location:

• Lake Charles, Louisiana

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• No weekends or on-call hours required

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform standard staff pharmacist duties within a specialty and retail pharmacy setting
• Support the existing pharmacist to ensure smooth pharmacy operations
• Utilize Epic Willow Ambulatory for prescription order entry and dispensing
• Collaborate with pharmacy technician and liaison for prescription processing and phone support

Qualifications & Experience:

• Louisiana pharmacist licensure in good standing is mandatory
• Previous experience in specialty pharmacy and retail pharmacy environments is required
• Familiarity with Epic Willow Ambulatory (WAM) system is highly advantageous

Training & Support:

• Comprehensive training provided 1-2 weeks prior to coverage start date on the dispensing system and workplace procedures
• Assistance from pharmacy technician for prescription input, filling, and call handling

• Dress code: dark grey scrubs
• Staff consists of one pharmacist, one pharmacy technician, and one pharmacy liaison
