A hospital inpatient pharmacist position is available for a 13-week contract starting June 8 in the Sun Prairie, WI area. This opportunity requires a Wisconsin ACT-10 pharmacy license, which is accepted for this role. The schedule includes a mix of day (6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) and evening (2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.) shifts, working five 8-hour shifts weekly with rotation every third weekend.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pharmacotherapy management and medication monitoring in an inpatient/acute care setting
  • Apply pharmacokinetic and renal dosing principles to optimize patient care
  • Manage drug shortages effectively and ensure continuity of medication supply
  • Utilize EPIC EMR system for accurate documentation and communication
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to improve therapeutic outcomes

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent inpatient pharmacy experience
  • Wisconsin pharmacy license with ACT-10 status
  • Proficiency in pharmacotherapy for medical problems and therapeutic medication monitoring
  • Ability to comply with fit-testing requirements; travelers must be clean-shaven to pass mask seal testing (no CAPRs or PAPRs permitted)
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced hospital environment

Additional Details:

  • Scrubs will be provided upon start
  • Traveler candidates must be located beyond 70 miles from the facility to be considered
  • Contract draws on a non-negotiable policy regarding mask fit-testing and personal protective equipment use
