A retail pharmacy facility located in Altoona, PA is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead its pharmacy department. This direct-hire role offers 36 hours per week with variable day and afternoon shifts, starting as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a collaborative relationship with the store operations team to drive associate engagement and communicate department and company strategies effectively.
- Ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance in prescription filling through Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance.
- Manage department profitability by growing prescription volume via clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
- Oversee inventory control in coordination with the District Manager, tracking weekly sales and managing pharmaceutical stock.
- Align department performance with seven key measurable metrics to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide excellent customer service, including healthcare counseling and resolution of medical-related inquiries.
- Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, including training, coaching, and discipline.
- Maintain pharmacy security and cleanliness.
- Resolve customer concerns to build trust and loyalty.
- Collaborate with physicians and use reference materials to address prescription-related issues.
- Prioritize and manage pharmacy tasks including cycle counts, inventory management, and customer will-calls.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree.
- Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
- Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.
Schedule/Hours:
- 36 hours per week.
- Variable day and afternoon shifts.
