A leadership opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Manager to oversee retail pharmacy operations in Altoona, PA. This permanent position requires strong management skills and established pharmacy expertise to ensure regulatory compliance, business growth, and exceptional customer service. The role offers a 36-hour work week with variable day and afternoon shifts, starting as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate a collaborative relationship with the store operations team to drive associate engagement and communicate departmental and company strategies.
- Assure accuracy and appropriateness of prescriptions through Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance, adhering to state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- Manage department profitability by promoting clinical services such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
- Collaborate with the District Manager and pharmacy team to control inventory, track sales, and order pharmaceutical stock accordingly.
- Align department performance with key measurable metrics driving effectiveness and efficiency.
- Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, including training, coaching, and performance management.
- Provide healthcare counseling and resolve customer inquiries, building trust and loyalty.
- Ensure the security and cleanliness of the pharmacy department.
- Liaise with physicians and utilize reference materials to resolve prescription issues.
- Prioritize and complete pharmacy tasks including cycle counts, inventory management, and will-call follow-ups.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or Pharm D degree.
- Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
- Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.
Schedule:
- 36 hours per week
