A retail pharmacy facility located in Altoona, PA is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead its pharmacy department. This direct-hire role offers 36 hours per week with variable day and afternoon shifts, starting as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a collaborative relationship with the store operations team to drive associate engagement and communicate department and company strategies effectively.
  • Ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance in prescription filling through Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance.
  • Manage department profitability by growing prescription volume via clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
  • Oversee inventory control in coordination with the District Manager, tracking weekly sales and managing pharmaceutical stock.
  • Align department performance with seven key measurable metrics to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide excellent customer service, including healthcare counseling and resolution of medical-related inquiries.
  • Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, including training, coaching, and discipline.
  • Maintain pharmacy security and cleanliness.
  • Resolve customer concerns to build trust and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with physicians and use reference materials to address prescription-related issues.
  • Prioritize and manage pharmacy tasks including cycle counts, inventory management, and customer will-calls.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree.
  • Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
  • Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 36 hours per week.
  • Variable day and afternoon shifts.
