A hospital-based pharmacist opportunity is available for a licensed professional with inpatient experience. This contract position requires a commitment to a 5-day, 8-hour shift schedule, with shifts primarily in the second shift range and some weekend coverage.

Location:

• Sunnyvale, CA

Schedule/Hours:

• 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
• 2nd shifts, either 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM or 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
• Some weekends required
• ASAP start
• 13-week duration

Responsibilities:

• Perform order verification and ensure accuracy of medication orders
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and compliance
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to provide medication consultations
• Utilize Cerner health IT system effectively to support pharmacy operations
• Maintain patient safety and quality standards in an inpatient hospital setting

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid California pharmacist license
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Full-time availability matching required shift schedules
• Ability to work within budgetary guidelines
• Proficiency with Cerner or similar healthcare information technology systems
