Pharmacist - Susanville, California

An opportunity is available for two night shift pharmacists in Susanville, CA, supporting a healthcare facility with 25 licensed beds and an average daily census of 10 patients. This temp-only contract role offers a 7-on, 7-off night schedule for approximately eight weeks, with a start date no later than July 1.

Responsibilities include verifying medication orders, providing patient consultations, and offering medication information to healthcare staff and patients. You will ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations while managing medication inventory—receiving orders from wholesalers, sterile compounding, reconstituting medications, and unit dosing. Additional duties involve removing expired medications, conducting audits, handling billing tasks, and supervising pharmacy technician staff. The order entry system used is Cerner, and training will be provided.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist eligible to practice in the state.
• Experience with sterile compounding and medication reconstitution.
• Ability to supervise pharmacy technicians effectively.
• Familiarity with pharmacy regulations and medication inventory management.
• Comfortable working night shifts on a seven days on, seven days off schedule.
• Adaptability to new electronic order entry systems; Cerner experience is a plus but not required.
