A thriving independent community pharmacy in Sutherland, NE, is seeking a dedicated pharmacist for a 13-week travel assignment in Ogallala. This opportunity supports a pharmacy experiencing rapid growth due to increased prescription volume from several nearby closures. The pharmacy prides itself on a collaborative environment with a veteran team providing a strong support system for incoming pharmacists.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Some weekends as needed
  • 1st shift

Location:
Ogallala, Nebraska (Travel assignment)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense medications accurately under manager supervision, ensuring safe and efficient delivery to customers
  • Counsel patients on proper medication use and regimens to maximize therapeutic outcomes
  • Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally, adhering to company policies
  • Maintain stock levels and ensure proper control of drug records and inventories
  • Resolve issues related to patient prescriptions and insurance coverage
  • Administer immunizations as needed

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active and clear pharmacist license in Nebraska
  • Minimum one year of retail pharmacy experience required; retail background preferred
  • Familiarity with Liberty Rx software is a plus
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

This pharmacy currently handles over 10,000 prescriptions monthly and operates with a well-trained, long-tenured staff, including 2 pharmacists on weekdays and 3 on Sundays supported by 5 technicians. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a pharmacy expanding with a second location soon opening.
