We’re partnering with a large, well-established public health system to bring on pharmacists interested in long-term stability and the potential for permanent placement. Retail pharmacists are absolutely encouraged to apply—this team is open to training the right candidate into the inpatient setting. Key Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and dispense medications in a hospital setting
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Monitor patient therapies and provide clinical recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
  • Support medication safety initiatives and quality assurance efforts
  • Provide drug information and patient counseling when needed

Work Hours

  • 8-hour shifts
  • Must be flexible to work days, evenings, and occasional nights
  • Primarily 1st and 2nd shifts

Experience

  • Retail pharmacists welcome
  • Strong preference for candidates with:
    • PGY1 residency OR
    • ~2 years of recent inpatient experience
  • Ability to transition into a hospital/clinical setting
  • Willingness to commit to a long-term contract

Education

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent required

Licensure & Certifications

  • Active California Pharmacist license required
  • Must pass a one-time competency exam (required for onboarding)

Compensation

  • Pay Range: $55– $65/hour

Additional Details

  • On-site interview required
  • Onboarding timeline: approximately 4–6 weeks
  • Includes competency exam and Livescan background check
  • Strong track record of pharmacists converting to permanent county roles (timeline varies)
