Pharmacist - Taos, New Mexico

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist to provide critical pharmaceutical care in a close-knit hospital setting. This position supports a Critical Access Hospital with a patient census of up to 25, focusing on delivering high-quality inpatient pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders ensuring accuracy and safety
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians in daily operations
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care
• Conduct pharmacokinetic monitoring and adjust therapies as needed
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid New Mexico pharmacist license or eligibility for a temporary license
• Minimum of 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience, ideally within a hospital or similar setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively consult with healthcare teams
• Proficiency in medication order verification and pharmacokinetic principles

Schedule:

• Day shifts
