A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist to provide essential pharmacy services at a critical access hospital in Taos, NM. This contract position focuses on delivering high-quality care in a smaller hospital setting, serving up to 25 patients.
Schedule & Location:
- Day-shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week (06:30 AM to 07:00 PM)
- Located in scenic Taos, New Mexico
- Contract duration of 13 weeks or longer
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders ensuring accuracy and safety
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
- Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care
- Manage pharmacokinetics consultations and related clinical assessments
- Support critical access hospital operations with attention to detail and compliance
Qualifications:
- Current New Mexico pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain a temporary license
- Minimum of 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience, demonstrating strong clinical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Effective communication skills and sound clinical judgment
