Pharmacist in Taos, NM

A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist to provide essential pharmacy services at a critical access hospital in Taos, NM. This contract position focuses on delivering high-quality care in a smaller hospital setting, serving up to 25 patients.

Schedule & Location:

• Day-shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week (06:30 AM to 07:00 PM)
• Located in scenic Taos, New Mexico
• Contract duration of 13 weeks or longer

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders ensuring accuracy and safety
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care
• Manage pharmacokinetics consultations and related clinical assessments
• Support critical access hospital operations with attention to detail and compliance

Qualifications:

• Current New Mexico pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain a temporary license
• Minimum of 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience, demonstrating strong clinical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
