A well-established 300-bed hospital in Ventura County is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to provide essential pharmaceutical services. This role offers an excellent opportunity for pharmacists aiming to gain experience within a reputable healthcare system known for quality patient care.

Job Type: Contract (3+ months)
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week, variable days and afternoons
Start Date: Mid-December

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform order verification to ensure accurate medication dispensing
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to provide pharmaceutical consultation
• Manage pharmacokinetic dosing and adjustments to optimize patient outcomes
• Utilize Cerner and Omnicell systems for pharmacy operations

Desired Qualifications:

• Current California pharmacist license
• Experience in inpatient pharmacy settings
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell electronic systems preferred
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced hospital environment
