This role is for a skilled pharmacist to provide essential inpatient pharmacy services at a major county health system hospital. Situated in Torrance, CA, the position offers the chance to support a busy, well-respected medical center known for exceptional patient care.
Schedule & Hours:
- Variable days and afternoons
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in an inpatient setting
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe, effective pharmaceutical care
- Maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory policies
- Participate in competency evaluations and onboarding processes
- Support pharmacy operational needs while gaining valuable experience in a large county health system
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed Pharmacist with at least 2 years of recent inpatient experience or completion of a PGY1 residency (preference given to PGY1 pharmacists)
- Strong clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills
- Ability to pass a competency exam on the first attempt
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care
- Readiness to complete Livescan background check and formal onboarding
