A pharmacy leadership opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to manage and oversee pharmacy operations in a retail setting. This direct hire role requires a dedicated professional with strong regulatory knowledge and the ability to lead both pharmacy personnel and business initiatives.

Location:

  • Plattsburgh, NY

Schedule & Hours:

  • Variable schedule with evening shifts required at times
  • Typical workweek involves 4x10 or 4x12 shifts (e.g., 8 am to 8 pm)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist-in-charge with the state board of pharmacy
  • Ensure pharmacy compliance with federal, state, and company policies and regulations
  • Oversee all pharmacy department operations including budgeting, payroll, inventory, scheduling, and third-party administration to meet financial objectives
  • Lead business development efforts both in-store and within the local community
  • Supervise pharmacy support staff, conduct performance reviews, and provide ongoing training
  • Ensure all pharmacy team members complete required company training programs
  • Deliver patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness initiatives
  • Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication use, interactions, side effects, and therapy adherence
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement efforts focused on patient safety
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and comply with facility standards
  • Engage in continuing education to maintain licensure

Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State pharmacist license
  • Immunization certification with comfort in administering all vaccines
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Commitment to regulatory compliance and patient safety
