Provide expert pharmacy services across inpatient and outpatient settings, delivering comprehensive medication management and patient care to a diverse population, including neonatal, pediatric, adult, geriatric, oncology, and obstetric patients at the main campus and satellite clinics.
This contract role (13 weeks) requires flexibility to work rotational shifts covering days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Candidates will utilize the Allscripts EMR system to document and manage patient care efficiently. Advancement opportunities exist from Pharmacist to Advanced Practice Pharmacist levels, including clinical pharmacy leadership and specialized clinic management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care and comprehensive medication management consistent with facility policies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimized therapeutic outcomes.
- Serve as clinical pharmacist for specialized pharmacy clinics and programs.
- Provide administrative leadership, including policy administration and supervision of pharmacy staff (pharmacists, technicians, assistants, billers).
- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and maintain a patient-focused environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and service development.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
- Current, unrestricted pharmacist license in any US state, territory, or DC.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
- Minimum two years as a Registered Pharmacist.
- At least one year of clinical pharmacy experience.
- Successful completion of fingerprinting clearance prior to start.
