Two full-time night pharmacists are needed for a 13-week contract opportunity at a 200-bed hospital in Tucson, AZ. This role involves working a consistent schedule of 7 nights on, 7 nights off, Wednesday through Tuesday, providing essential pharmacy services during night hours.

Responsibilities include close collaboration with physicians regarding medication selection and dosing, educating nursing staff, patients, and physicians on medication-related matters, and participating in medication safety initiatives. The pharmacist will also manage patient profiles, monitor and report adverse drug reactions, prepare IV admixtures and nutritional supplements, and maintain narcotic accountability.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active pharmacist license in the state of Arizona or eligibility to obtain
• Proven experience in hospital pharmacy practice, especially in a 24/7 hospital setting
• Strong skills in medication therapy management and clinical collaboration
• Experience with IV admixture preparation and narcotic control protocols
• Ability to work independently during night shifts and manage multiple responsibilities
• Excellent communication skills for patient and staff education
