An immediate opening is available for two full-time night pharmacists to join a 200-bed hospital setting in Tucson, AZ. This contract opportunity offers a chance to work collaboratively within a dynamic healthcare team, providing expert pharmaceutical care during night shifts.

Responsibilities include working closely with physicians to ensure appropriate drug selection and dosing, educating nursing staff, patients, and physicians on medication usage, and leading medication safety initiatives. The role also involves managing patient profiles to monitor therapy effectiveness, identifying and reporting adverse drug reactions, preparing IV admixtures and nutritional supplements, and maintaining strict narcotic accountability.

Schedule:

  • Night shift (7 consecutive nights on, 7 days off)
  • Wednesday through Tuesday rotation

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Licensed Pharmacist with valid registration in the state of Arizona or eligibility to obtain licensure promptly
  • Experience in hospital pharmacy practice with strong knowledge of medication therapy management
  • Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients
  • Skilled in preparing sterile products including IV admixtures
  • Commitment to patient safety and adherence to regulatory standards
