A well-established 200-bed hospital in Tucson, AZ is seeking two full-time night pharmacists for a rewarding 13-week contract opportunity, with potential to transition to temp-to-hire status. This position offers an engaging role in a busy medical center known for high standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with physicians regarding drug selections and dosing protocols
• Educate nursing staff, patients, and physicians on medication usage and safety
• Lead medication safety initiatives to promote best practices
• Maintain patient profiles and ensure accuracy of medication records
• Identify, avoid, and report adverse drug reactions promptly
• Prepare intravenous admixtures and nutritional supplements following strict guidelines
• Ensure accountability and proper handling of narcotics in compliance with regulations

Schedule:

• Night shift, 7 days on followed by 7 days off
• Workweek runs Wednesday through Tuesday

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid pharmacist license and credentials in Arizona
• Proven experience in hospital pharmacy, especially in medication safety and IV admixture preparation
• Strong collaborative skills to effectively communicate with multidisciplinary teams
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accurate patient care and regulatory compliance
• Ability to work independently during night shifts
