A 2nd shift pharmacist opportunity is available at a 200-bed hospital facility in Tucson, AZ. This role offers a rewarding experience working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal medication use and patient safety within a dynamic hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with physicians on drug selection and appropriate dosing
• Educate nursing staff, patients, and physicians about medications and their proper use
• Lead medication safety initiatives to minimize risks and enhance outcomes
• Review and manage patient profiles to ensure safe and effective therapy
• Identify, report, and help prevent adverse drug reactions
• Prepare IV admixtures, nutritional supplements, and ensure precise narcotic accountability

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid pharmacist license with the ability to practice in Arizona
• Proven experience in a hospital inpatient pharmacy environment
• Strong clinical knowledge of pharmaceuticals and medication safety
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
• Competence in IV admixture preparation and pharmaceutical compounding
• Commitment to patient-centered care and professional integrity
