Pharmacist in Tucson, AZ

A hospital-based pharmacist position is available in Tucson, AZ, for a 13-week contract with the possibility to extend to temp-to-perm. The role supports a 200-bed facility, focusing on safe and effective medication management for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with physicians on drug selection and dosing to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate nursing staff, physicians, and patients on proper medication use and safety
• Lead medication safety initiatives and ensure compliance with protocols
• Review patient profiles to identify potential adverse drug reactions and report accordingly
• Prepare IV admixtures, nutritional supplements, and maintain narcotic accountability

Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist with hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong clinical knowledge in dosing and medication safety
• Ability to educate and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Experienced in handling IV admixtures and narcotic controls

Schedule:

• Positions available for day, afternoon, or night shifts
• Preference for candidates able to work 7 days on, 7 days off night shifts
