Pharmacist - Tucson, AZ

An opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to support a 200-bed hospital setting. This contract role is based in Tucson, AZ, offering coverage for all shifts with an exceptional preference for a 7-on, 7-off night schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with physicians on drug selection and dosing protocols.
• Educate nursing staff, patients, and physicians on medication usage and safety.
• Lead and participate in medication safety initiatives.
• Review and manage patient profiles for optimal pharmaceutical care.
• Monitor, report, and help prevent adverse drug reactions.
• Prepare IV admixtures and nutritional supplements accurately.
• Maintain strict narcotic accountability and compliance standards.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist in good standing.
• Experience in a hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medication safety and IV admixture preparation.
• Ability to effectively educate a diverse healthcare team.
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.

Schedule/Hours:

• Days or afternoon shifts available.
• Night shifts highly encouraged, ideally 7 days on and 7 days off.
