Pharmacist | Tucson, Arizona

This opportunity is for a pharmacist position at a 200-bed hospital in Tucson, AZ. The role involves critical collaboration with physicians on drug selection and dosing, providing education to nursing staff, patients, and physicians about medications, and promoting medication safety initiatives. You will be responsible for managing patient profiles, identifying and reporting adverse drug reactions, preparing IV admixtures and nutritional supplements, and ensuring narcotic accountability.

Shift schedules are flexible, with openings for day, afternoon, or night shifts. Candidates able to work a 7-on/7-off night schedule are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with physicians on drug therapies and dosing adjustments
• Educate healthcare staff and patients on medication information and safety
• Implement medication safety protocols and monitor patient profiles
• Detect, document, and report adverse drug reactions accurately
• Prepare intravenous admixtures and nutritional supplements as needed
• Maintain strict narcotics accountability in compliance with regulations

Desired Qualifications:

• Licensed pharmacist with current and valid certification
• Experience in hospital pharmacy settings preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Knowledge of medication safety and regulatory requirements
