A second shift opportunity is now available for a hospital pharmacist in a well-established 200-bed facility in South Tucson, AZ. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a later shift while still being deeply involved in clinical care, patient safety initiatives, and interdisciplinary collaboration.


You’ll play a key role in supporting physicians and nursing staff, ensuring safe medication practices, and contributing to a high standard of patient care. With an ASAP start and potential for long-term placement, this position offers both stability and growth in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities


Collaborate with physicians on medication selection and dosing strategies

Educate nursing staff, patients, and providers on medication use

Support medication safety initiatives and regulatory compliance

Review patient profiles to ensure safe and effective therapy

Identify, prevent, and report adverse drug reactions

Prepare and verify IV admixtures and nutritional supplements

Maintain proper narcotic accountability and control procedures


Work Hours:

Second shift (afternoons/evenings)

Full-time hours (exact schedule to be discussed)


Experience

Prior inpatient or hospital pharmacy experience required

Experience with IV admixture and clinical interventions preferred

Experience in a mid-to-large hospital setting is a plus


Education

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy


Other Qualifications

Active and valid Arizona Pharmacist License

Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail

Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams


Full-time availability with flexibility for shift coverage
