Pharmacist - Tulare, CA

Provide pharmaceutical expertise in a fast-paced, 500-bed hospital pharmacy department known for its progressive approach to patient care. This role involves direct inpatient responsibilities crucial to ensuring accurate medication management and patient safety.

Location: Tulare, CA (travel opportunity to Visalia, CA)

Schedule:

• Variable days and afternoons
• 10-hour shifts

Contract Duration: 13 weeks with potential for extension
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and accuracy
• Manage pharmacokinetics-related functions and patient-specific medication adjustments
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy
• Utilize Cerner electronic health records for order processing and documentation

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active California Pharmacist license required
• Proven inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical record system is a strong advantage
• Full-time availability to meet the department’s variable scheduling needs
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
