This opportunity offers a rewarding role as a Pharmacist with a focus on retail pharmacy operations in a dynamic setting. Embrace a contract position with a 13-week duration or longer, working day shifts from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 6 PM, with no weekends required. Part-time, PRN, and travel candidates will also be considered. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring pharmacy staff, managing schedules and workloads, and ensuring regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local laws. You will oversee quality assurance protocols, controlled substances security, medication storage inspections, and comprehensive medication reviews. This position also involves direct patient interaction, providing accurate information on drug interactions, side effects, and proper medication usage. You will maintain pharmacy records, conduct staff training, and contribute to performance evaluations, fostering a robust and knowledgeable pharmacy team.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree required
- Current license to practice pharmacy in New Mexico
- 1-3 years of experience as a registered pharmacist
- 1-2 years of management experience preferred
- Retail 340B program experience is a plus
- APhA Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery certification required
