A healthcare facility is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to support their outpatient pharmacy services located in Willits, CA. This role involves working in a hospital-affiliated retail setting providing essential pharmaceutical care during day shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and verify prescriptions ensuring patient safety
• Oversee pharmacy technicians, guiding their workflow and ensuring compliance
• Counsel patients on prescription medications and over-the-counter products, addressing questions and providing clear, professional information
• Utilize Cerner pharmacy systems for efficient medication management and documentation
• Maintain adherence to all regulatory and facility policies within the outpatient pharmacy setting

Qualifications:

• Valid California Pharmacist license is required
• Prior retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical practices and medication therapies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and healthcare team members
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, preferably Cerner

Schedule:

• Day shifts

This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a hospital-based outpatient pharmacy team on a contract basis for a minimum of 16 weeks. Immediate availability is desired.
