A part-time to full-time Pharmacist opportunity is available in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility with 50-60 beds, located in Kentfield, CA. This position offers the chance to apply clinical pharmacy skills in an inpatient setting, working day shifts with systems such as Wellsky and PYXIS automation. The role is contract to hire, providing stability with potential for permanent placement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately and safely within the LTAC setting
- Manage pharmacokinetics and anticoagulation protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Utilize Wellsky and PYXIS systems for medication management and automation
- Monitor and adjust total parenteral nutrition (TPN) therapies as needed
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies
- Support clinical initiatives in an acute care environment
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited College/School of Pharmacy required
- Active California Pharmacist License
- Prefer candidates with 2-3 years of retail experience seeking to expand or maintain clinical skills in hospital settings
- Experience in inpatient or acute care preferred; familiarity with pharmacokinetics, anticoagulation, and TPN valued
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from an approved provider highly desirable
- Candidates with long-term community pharmacy background (10+ years) are not preferred
- PGY1 residency candidates may find this smaller site less suitable for long-term placement
