A growing healthcare provider in Van Nuys, CA is seeking a dedicated bilingual Clinical Pharmacist (Spanish & English) for a full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity. This role emphasizes quality and long-term fit over quick placement, ideal for those eager to build a lasting career in pharmacy care. The pharmacy team is collaborative and focused on delivering exceptional patient outcomes, especially for a large diabetic patient population.

Location: Van Nuys, CA
Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Rotating every 3rd Saturday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
    Contract Duration: 13 weeks (temp-to-perm)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense and verify approximately 250 prescriptions daily with precision and safety
  • Conduct thorough clinical medication reviews addressing appropriateness, interactions, and dosing
  • Provide detailed patient counseling, focusing extensively on diabetes management including insulin, injectables, CGMs, and lifestyle modification guidance
  • Monitor chronic disease states and conduct clinical assessments within a large diabetic population
  • Collaborate closely with prescribers to optimize therapies and resolve medication-related issues
  • Oversee pharmacy workflow and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
  • Foster a patient-centered environment prioritizing long-term health and quality care

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • B.S. or PharmD from an accredited institution
  • Active, clear California Pharmacist License required
  • Minimum 2+ years clinical pharmacy experience preferred
  • Strong diabetes management and clinical assessment skills highly advantageous
  • Bilingual Spanish and English strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to patient care
  • Exceptional clinical judgment paired with excellent counseling abilities
