A growing healthcare provider in Van Nuys, CA is seeking a dedicated bilingual Clinical Pharmacist (Spanish & English) for a full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity. Location: Van Nuys, CA
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Rotating every 3rd Saturday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks (temp-to-perm)
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense and verify approximately 250 prescriptions daily with precision and safety
- Conduct thorough clinical medication reviews addressing appropriateness, interactions, and dosing
- Provide detailed patient counseling, focusing extensively on diabetes management including insulin, injectables, CGMs, and lifestyle modification guidance
- Monitor chronic disease states and conduct clinical assessments within a large diabetic population
- Collaborate closely with prescribers to optimize therapies and resolve medication-related issues
- Oversee pharmacy workflow and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
- Foster a patient-centered environment prioritizing long-term health and quality care
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- B.S. or PharmD from an accredited institution
- Active, clear California Pharmacist License required
- Minimum 2+ years clinical pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong diabetes management and clinical assessment skills highly advantageous
- Bilingual Spanish and English strongly preferred
- Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to patient care
- Exceptional clinical judgment paired with excellent counseling abilities
