A healthcare provider in Van Nuys, CA is seeking a full-time, bilingual Clinical Pharmacist (Spanish & English) for a temp-to-perm role focusing on quality care and long-term fit. This position offers an opportunity to join a dedicated team committed to patient-centered service, especially within a large diabetic population.

Location: Van Nuys, CA
Contract Type: 13-week temp-to-perm
Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Rotating every 3rd Saturday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform retail pharmacy duties with a strong clinical focus, including medication reviews and patient counseling.
  • Verify and accurately dispense approximately 250 prescriptions daily.
  • Conduct comprehensive medication reviews assessing appropriateness, interactions, and therapeutic outcomes.
  • Provide in-depth counseling on diabetes management, including insulin use, injectables, continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), oral agents, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Monitor chronic disease states and conduct clinical assessments of diabetic patients.
  • Collaborate with prescribers to clarify orders, recommend therapy adjustments, and optimize treatment outcomes.
  • Identify and resolve medication-related issues and adherence barriers.
  • Oversee pharmacy workflow and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support a culture focused on long-term health improvements and quality care.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • B.S. or PharmD from an accredited pharmacy program.
  • Active and clear California Pharmacist License.
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Experience in diabetic clinical assessment preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, strong clinical knowledge, and excellent patient counseling skills.
