A well-established pharmacy in Van Nuys, CA is seeking a dedicated, bilingual (Spanish & English) Pharmacist for a full-time contract-to-hire position focused on clinical excellence and long-term fit. This role offers the opportunity to join a team committed to quality patient care, especially within a largely diabetic patient population.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm
- Rotating every 3rd Saturday, 9:00am – 1:00pm
- 13-week contract-to-perm term
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and dispense up to 250 prescriptions daily with accuracy and safety
- Perform comprehensive clinical medication reviews for interactions, dosing, and therapies
- Provide detailed patient counseling, emphasizing diabetes management including insulin, injectables, CGMs, oral agents, and lifestyle guidance
- Conduct clinical assessments and monitor chronic diseases, focusing on diabetes
- Collaborate with prescribers to optimize therapy and resolve medication-related issues
- Oversee pharmacy workflow and ensure regulatory compliance
- Foster a patient-centered environment dedicated to long-term health outcomes
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- B.S. or PharmD from an accredited pharmacy school
- Active, clear California Pharmacist license
- 2+ years of clinical pharmacy experience preferred, particularly with diabetes care
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English strongly preferred
- Reliable, accountable, patient-focused with strong clinical judgment and counseling skills
