A healthcare provider in Van Nuys, CA is seeking a full-time, bilingual Clinical Pharmacist (Spanish & English) for a temp-to-perm role focusing on quality care and long-term fit. Location: Van Nuys, CA
Contract Type: 13-week temp-to-perm
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Rotating every 3rd Saturday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform retail pharmacy duties with a strong clinical focus, including medication reviews and patient counseling.
- Verify and accurately dispense approximately 250 prescriptions daily.
- Conduct comprehensive medication reviews assessing appropriateness, interactions, and therapeutic outcomes.
- Provide in-depth counseling on diabetes management, including insulin use, injectables, continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), oral agents, and lifestyle modifications.
- Monitor chronic disease states and conduct clinical assessments of diabetic patients.
- Collaborate with prescribers to clarify orders, recommend therapy adjustments, and optimize treatment outcomes.
- Identify and resolve medication-related issues and adherence barriers.
- Oversee pharmacy workflow and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Support a culture focused on long-term health improvements and quality care.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- B.S. or PharmD from an accredited pharmacy program.
- Active and clear California Pharmacist License.
- Minimum of 2 years clinical pharmacy experience preferred.
- Experience in diabetic clinical assessment preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, strong clinical knowledge, and excellent patient counseling skills.
