Pharmacist in Ventura, CA

A Pharmacist position is available at a well-established 300-bed hospital in Ventura County, offering an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a reputable healthcare system. This contract role starts mid-December and is scheduled for approximately three months, with potential to transition to a permanent position.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Variable days and afternoon shifts

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders to ensure accuracy and patient safety
• Supervise pharmacy technicians in daily operations
• Provide consultative support to physicians and nursing staff regarding medication management
• Perform pharmacokinetic evaluations to optimize drug therapy

Qualifications:

• Valid California pharmacist license required
• Experience in inpatient pharmacy settings preferred
• Comfortable working with Cerner and Omnicell technology systems
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
