Pharmacist - Ventura, California

A pharmacy role is available for a pharmacist to provide expert medication management and patient care at a well-established hospital in Ventura County. This position offers night shift work on a 7-on, 7-off schedule, ideal for candidates seeking structured hours with extended days off.

Location:

• Ventura County, CA (Oxnard area, LA metro vicinity)

Schedule:

• Night shifts, approximately 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 7 consecutive days on, followed by 7 days off

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications and provide pharmaceutical care to patients
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to review medication orders and ensure patient safety
• Utilize Cerner and Omnicell systems for medication management and documentation
• Educate patients and staff on medication usage, side effects, and interactions
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current pharmacist licensure with the ability to practice in California
• Experience with Cerner and Omnicell pharmacy systems preferred
• Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations, medication management, and patient safety
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
